Wine Display

Perhaps the most challenging project I have worked on due to the complexity and tight tolerances involved but also my favourite of all projects.

Taking the Architects design, we worked up a 3D model to ensure the display could hold the required bottles, we worked on a few options for the ‘Antlers’ and the end design looks incredible.

We had to overcome many challenges, firstly we had to take all the tension and expansion out of the petals which in the end was constructed of thin strips in several layers, steam bent and then pressed. Using a 5 Axis CNC machine we profiled them, including edge profiles. Predrilled to create a mechanical fixing with the antlers.

I will be creating a case study for this one in due course, going in to more detail.
